The Arkansas Comprehensive Literacy Academy is a three-day event for classroom teachers, intervention specialists, Reading Recovery teachers, teacher leaders, site coordinators, literacy coaches, and district and school administrators.

April 19-20

 Theme: Working with Struggling Learners 

2-day intensive professional development on intervention strategies to support the literacy learning of struggling readers and writers.  Intended audience: Reading Recovery teachers, K-8 classroom teachers, Special Education teachers, ELL teachers, Title I, and Literacy Coaches.  Sessions will be broken into two strands: K-2 and 3-8.

Theme: Working with Children with Learning Disabilities

Learn how district and school teams collaborate to support the literacy needs of students with learning disabilities.  Intended audience: Administrators, Reading Recovery teachers, K-8 classroom teachers, Special Education teachers, ELL teachers, Title I, and Literacy Coaches.
